There has been a 15% increase in the tariffs award for whiplash injuries effective from 31st May 2025.
The whiplash reforms were introduced in England and Wales in May 2021 and resulting in a vast change to the legal landscape for whiplash injuries and their quantification . The refroms introduced a fixed tariff scheme for whiplash injury compensation based on whiplash injuries up to a duration of to 2 years.
From 31st May 2025, where a cause of action accrues on on before this date a new tariff will apply which sees a 15% increase in comparison to earlier provisions in line with inflation.
